Before we read a word of your manuscript, we want to know what you are building. This form tells us your intent so the assessment can measure the book against it — not against a book we imagined instead.
So we know who we are writing to, and under what name the work goes out.
The shelf facts. These decide which editorial standard the book gets held to.
Who wants what, who stands in the way, and what it costs. Answer plainly. Spoilers are the point here — we read the last chapter early, and we would rather hear the ending from you first.
Feedback history tells us which problems have already been named and which ones nobody has caught yet. Rejections are useful data, not an embarrassment — please be candid.
An assessment is only as useful as the question it answers. Tell us yours.
Every Cassandra assessment includes a provenance check — we look at how the file was built as well as what it says. This is routine and it applies to every manuscript. Answering honestly here costs you nothing; a mismatch between what you tell us and what the file shows is the only thing that causes a problem.
Files stay confidential and are never used to train any model. Maximum 8 MB per file — if your manuscript is larger, split it or send a compressed copy, and tell us in the notes above.
